Abstract: | The Black Boy by Richard Wright is an African American novel. It is often written by an African American Writer. This story entails the sufferings that a black American boy encountered from the White. It is often a pathetic story with pathetic treatments.These treatments are often conveyed in form of expressions. And they are examined in this work.
In this project, some certain linguistic features are carried out such as: Adjective and the Other of Adjective, the use of Personal Pronouns (grammar), Quotation Marks, Hyphen and
Dash, Ellipsis, Periods, and Ellipsis (Punctuation marks), Semantic and Pragmatics, Syntax,
Anaphora, and other Linguistic features. These features are basically visible features used in
exploration the brutal experiences that the narrator and the other blacks encountered in the
foreign land. |
